While all celebrities seemingly age at a slower pace than the rest of the world, Halle Berry has stopped time all together. And while the John Wick: Chapter 3 and X-Men star is no doubt genetically #blessed in the skin department, she does have a few key beauty and lifestyle habits that she gives credit to. Here are the five rules she swears by.

1. Drink bone broth.

When asked by Extra what her secret is for looking like she’s 25, Halle replied, “bone broth!” She went on to say, “You can make it, you can go to the butcher and get all the bones they’re going to throw away and he’ll give them to you for free. Take the bones, boil them up for 24 hours… and you drink the broth. It’s so full of collagen that it’s crazy.”

2. Prioritize cardio workouts.

ICYMI, Halle had a series on her Instagram stories called “PHIT TALKS” where she covered topics and questions on everything fitness and health related. While it’s disappeared from her feed now, Prevention reported in 2018 that the actress revealed exercise is real key to having great skin. “I do believe that exercise is so related to healthy skin and how you not only feel but how you look. Cardio. Cardio. Cardio. Getting the blood running through your body is so good for your complexion,” she said.

3. Avoid alcohol and smoking.

Halle has been vocal about leading a pretty clean lifestyle and told InStyle in 2013 that she owes it her ageless skin.”I think a lot of how you look is about how you live. I’ve never smoked or indulged in alcohol or drugs. Those are things that show up on your face over the years,” she said.

4. Be consistent with a basic skincare regimen.

If you were hoping the star would name drop a miracle cream that keeps her looking so good, it isn’t going to happen. Halle shared with InStyle in 2015 that her skincare routine is always the same—”I use a cleanser, toner, moisturizer, then eye cream.” In 2013, she said the same thing, admitting, “as a busy mother I don’t have a lot of time, so I usually just cleanse and moisturize twice a day and always wear sunscreen.”

5. Embrace facial sprays.

The only other addition in her routine is a face mist. She told Condé Nast Traveller, “I spray my face with Australian brand Jurlique’s Rosewater and let that sink in. Even if I don’t have any makeup on it’s really refreshing. It makes my skin glow.”

5. Make time for masking.
