Chrissy Teigen’s Earrings Have Her Dogs’ Names On Them & Here’s How You Can Copy The Look

Pets are family, and many people love their dogs, cats, and other domestic animals as much as their human counterparts. Chrissy Teigen’s hoop earrings featured her dogs’ names engraved on them and it was a proud display of how much she adores her pooches. Anyone who follows the model’s Instagram is well aware of her devotion to her dogs. Therefore, her oversized jewelry was not simply a fun and funky finishing touch that complimented her crisp white shirt, bronzy skin, or golden highlighted strands. The earrings, which were the custom 2" Audrey Hoops from Svelte Metal’s Hoops for Hope collection, served as a stylish way to keep her precious pups close at all times. The names of her pooches — the late Puddy, along with Pippa, Penny, and Paul — were stamped on the inside of the earrings. The good news is that you can copy this look with pairs from the same brand or from indie designers.

Teigen sported the gold hoops, which are an investment piece that can be engraved at $415 per pair, while appearing at Cannes Lions on June 18. She actually owns over 20 personalized pairs of Hoops for Hope, according to an email Bustle received from the brand.

The statement hoops are lightweight and suitable for day or night wear. They can be customized in various ways, including content, size, material, letter placement, font, and more.

But these earrings don’t just look good — they also do good. Svelte Metals donates a portion of its Hoops for Hope sales to nationwide causes that support women. "Because I know that personalized jewelry is cherished and meaningful, I wanted each pair to impact our world in a meaningful way," Svelte Metals designer and brand owner Meghan Kanodia tells Bustle via email. "This is why 10% of all sales from the collection is donated to causes benefitting underserved women in the U.S. through our partnerships with Baby2Baby and La Casa de las Madres." What’s better than custom jewelry that gives back?

Personalized jewelry is having a moment since it’s distinct as DNA and allows the wearer to be a part of the design process. But there’s another important element to engraved jewelry that you may not have realized. Kanodia points out that her designs are also environmentally friendly because the customization means the wearer will likely keep and wear their piece for a lifetime. "Consumers are shopping more thoughtfully and in favor of quality over quantity," she explains. "It’s really important to me to only create pieces that will be worn over and over again for years to come. Made-to-order pieces eliminate waste."

A Svelte Metals purchase will go a long way — personally, philanthropically, and for the planet itself.

However, if this particular piece of jewelry is out of your price range, you have other options if you want to honor your dogs or other pets in accessories form. There are plenty of indie designers on Etsy who make affordable, customized jewelry that can feature the names of people, places, pets, and things to your exact specifications. You can order engraved bracelets, necklaces, and totally rock this trend.

Incorporating the names of loved ones into your pieces is such a stylish and secret way to keep them near and dear.

Mums rave about little-known function that sees some ovens clean THEMSELVES – The Sun

TRYING to remove stubborn grime from your oven is a task many homeowners dread.

But some companies have set out to solve the problem by making “self-cleaning” ovens that many people rave are “well worth the price”.

A mum recently was shocked when she discovered that her pyrolytic oven cleans itself, and shared striking before and after photos of the process.

In the shots, her grease-stained device is transformed to look gleaming once more.

She shared the pictures on the Facebook group Mums Who Clean, and many users didn’t know their ovens had the clever function.

The mum captioned her post: “With a press of a button the oven is spotless.”

The name “pyrolytic” is Greek and means “fire separating”, and works by heating the oven to high temperatures to turn any grease and grime inside to ash.

Once this has taken place, the user can then simply wipe down the oven with a damp cloth to restore it to looking clean.

Temperatures can reach 400C, but the oven is cooled down before the door unlocks for the ash to be removed.

The process typically takes around two hours and you must ensure no food is inside when it takes place.

Pyrolytic ovens are available in most appliance stores, including options priced from around £349 in Currys, and £279 in John Lewis.

The John Lewis website says: “Save time and energy with the amazing pyrolytic cleaning function. The oven is heated up to burn off food residue, including grease, leaving behind a fine ash which is easily wiped away with a damp cloth.”

You can also buy another variety of self-cleaning ovens, catalytic ovens, which are fitted with “liners” made from an absorbent chemical that catches grease.

  • CANDY FCPK606X Electric Oven, £349 from Currys – buy now

  • Hotpoint SA2840PIX Built In Electric Single Oven, Stainless Steel, £279 from John Lewis – buy now

Although some people have been singing the praises of the ovens, there have been reports of glass doors shattering.

Which? found some incidents happened when the oven was on, or running a pyrolytic self-cleaning cycle.

Experts at Appliances Online advised that additional insulation should be added to stop doors exploding.

Here's the Sun's selection of the best ovens in 2019.

Meanwhile, shoppers are going wild for ‘amazing’ oven cleaning spray… and the before and after photos speak for themselves.

Meghan Markle jokes ‘it’s a miracle’ her bridesmaids and pageboys – including Prince George and Princess Charlotte – behaved on her wedding day – The Sun

MEGHAN Markle claims it was a “miracle” that all of her bridesmaids and pageboys behaved themselves at her royal wedding.

The Duchess of Sussex, who married Prince Harry last May, had a total of ten children under the age of seven in her wedding party who accompanied her down the aisle of St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

And she and Harry have opened up about the little ones as part of an exhibit showcasing their wedding outfits.

The Royal Wedding: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex is currently on show at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Scotland having previously been held at Windsor Castle.

As part of the exhibit Harry and Meghan chose to personally record the audio guide where they opened up about details of their big day, People reports.

Speaking of their wedding party Harry says: “We had ten bridesmaids and pageboys under the age of seven, which everybody says is impossible to have them behaving, but they did it!"

With Meghan adding: "It was a miracle!"

The couple also revealed that Prince George’s pageboy outfit, a replica of Harry’s uniform, was embroidered with his initials GC while Charlotte had hers on the soles of her shoes, with Meghan describing them as a “beautiful keepsake.”

Both the young royals’ outfits have also gone on display to the public at Holyrood house, with the exhibit running until October 6.

The couple also discuss the lead up to their big day, which took a lot of organisation.

Meghan says: “A great level of detail went into the planning of our wedding day. We knew how large the scale of the event would be, so in making choices that were really personal and meaningful, it could make the whole experience feel intimate."

Harry also explains his choice behind the Blues and Royals cavalry uniform, revealing that he sees it as one of the “smartest” uniforms.

The bridal party outfits went on display in Scotland for the very first time on Friday last week.

Focused around the pièce de résistance of Meghan's iconic gown, with its boat neckline and tapered waist, it's not to be missed if you're a fan of the Duchess.

Weddings can be expensive – but Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s nuptials reportedly cost a staggering £32million.

The experts at the company Bridebook say the bulk of the costs were spent on security – but over a million alone was spent on the flowers, food, drinks and Meghan's bespoke gown.

Some of the key costs included:

  • £90,000 for 20 silver-plated trumpets that will announce the event
  • £50,000 on the lemon elderflower cake from Violet Bakery in East London
  • £110,000 on flowers to adorn the aisles of St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and St George’s Great Hall
  • £30million on security measures
  • £300,000 to £400,000 on Meghan’s dress

Prince Harry's Household Cavalry uniform, which was specially created by tailors at Dege and Skinner on Savile Row, London, will stand proud next to Meghan's dress.

While it isn't thought to be the real thing that he wore on the day, Harry is said to have loaned an identical uniform to the Palace of Holyroodhouse for the exhibition.

In other royal news, we revealed how Kate was told to pay attention at the Order of the Garter by Camilla, after Meghan was scolded by Harry at Trooping the Colour.

And we revealed how Prince Philip "advised Prince Harry NOT to wed Meghan Markle" as "one doesn't marry actresses."

TK Maxx shoppers horrified by £60 ceramic statue of Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte which looks NOTHING like the Royals

NO matter how much we love them, there's no denying that Royal Family memorabilia can be a little on the naff side.

Whether you still drink your morning brew out of the collectable Prince William and Kate Middleton engagement mugs (guilty as charged) or bought a Royal Wedding swimsuit last year, turns out these are NOTHING compared to a bizarre new Cambridge family figurine.

That's right, TK Maxx is currently flogging a porcelain statue of Kate Middleton, Prince George and Princess Charlotte for £60.

And we're not even exaggerating when we say they bear no resemblance to the trio at all.

The commemorative figurine is inspired by the Cambridge family's 2015 Christmas card where a six-month-old Princess Charlotte was pictured perching on her mother's knee.

Meanwhile, her older brother Prince George beams happily at the camera in a sweet festive jumper while Kate hugs them close.

However, this spooky statue has pretty much ruined that picture for us forever thanks to the creepy coloured eyes and perfectly flushed cheeks.

Spotting the "young royals" figurines in her local branch, Twitter user Amelia Perrin wrote: "Sometimes TK Maxx out TK Maxxes itself.

"£60. Arguably the worst thing I've ever laid eyes upon."

Unsurprisingly, other users were horrified by the spooky design.

One replied: "Eww! It's so ugly."

Another joked: "Which TK Maxx was this please? Asking for a friend…"

A third sarcastically replied: "The detail is amazing. Really, erm, captured her… eyes?"

What's more, the strange statue has also caught the attention of members of the TK Maxx Gallery of Horrors Facebook group who urged customers to "smash" the figurine.

Commenting on the Royals' unsettling likeness to other celebs, one critic wrote: "Why is Julie Andrew from the Sound of Music next to one of the Kardashians holding a baby James Corden please?"

Oh and did we mention that this figurine would have originally set you back £200? Love it or loathe it, you've got to appreciate TK Maxx.

In more Royal Family news, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry "won't slot in line" and be "controlled" by Prince William, a royal expert has claimed.

And Meghan Markle has written about the "life-changing joy" of adopting a pet and rescuing dogs for an animal charity.

Plus Meghan and Harry's repeated Instagram errors are "cringe", a royal commentator has claimed.

10 Ways To Make Scars Fade Faster

I’m of the belief that a scar is a symbol of your strength in getting through whatever challenge caused it. That said, for those who are looking for scar fading remedies, there are options — and some of the best are surprisingly accessible. If you’re not sure which balms, creams, gels, or pads are best for you, it pays to do a little research before you begin shopping.

Scars form because of tough fibrous tissue that heals over an injury or wound. They’re a natural part of the healing process, but if you’d rather speed up the evidence of surgeries, break-outs, or accidents, the right ingredients can help. Those who are wondering how to remove and fade scars should aim for ingredients that boost cell turnover, keep the skin hydrated, reduce inflammation, and nourish the area with essential vitamins. This will not only reduce current redness and irritation, but will also encourage the skin to heal itself long-term.

As always, check ingredients lists for your known irritants, and start to narrow down options that way. Much of your scar-healing journey will have to do with preference; some people don’t mind the dewy consistency of a natural gel, while others prefer to keep the area covered with a scar healing sheet. Whichever you prefer, here are 10 remedies you can use to help treat your scars quickly, conveniently, and effectively.

1. Fade Away Scars With A Hydrolized Collagen Gel

Body Merry Scar Gel, $23, Amazon

This scar-fading gel is one of the best options on the market because of its restorative and natural formula. Ingredients like Quercetin (a natural anti-inflammatory found in onions) and Kakadu plums (an Australian plant full of vitamin C) reduce the appearance of scars, no matter the cause. Hydrolized collagen creates epidermal growth by regulating the skin’s cell production, and its lightweight formula is safe for sensitive-skin. Though it says it can take up to 12 weeks to start working, fans of this product report serious improvement in just a few weeks.

2. Go Organic With This Fade Balm

Wild Thera Scar Fade Balm, $18, Amazon

If you’re looking for something that’s both organic and natural, this Scar Fade Balm is incredible. It’s great for acne scars, sun spots, and surgical scars. Plus, its lavender, shea butter, and Tamanu oil ingredients hydrate skin as they heal. Reviewers of the balm say it reduces both coloration and texture, and its herbal, aromatherapeutic scent smells great, too.

3. Fade Acne Scars With Botanical Extracts

Organyc Skin Whitening Cream, $16, Amazon

This Organyc Skin Whitening Cream is specifically made for the discoloration and bumps left by severe acne. It uses a an antioxidant compound found in red grapes to reduce melanin, and it won’t leave you skin smelling like chemicals because of its vitamin-packed, botanical extract formula. A clinical study found 85 percent of people had brighter skin after using the cream, and users say its fragrance-free formula lightens other dark spots on their bodies, too, producing a subtle glow just after applying.

4. Treat Sensitive Skin With Arnica Montana

Tree Of Life Scar Treatment Cream, $12, Amazon

This scar treatment cream utilizes Arnica Montana, which is a European flower that has been used in healing and anti-inflammatory practices for years. Because it’s specially formulated for all skin types, it can be used on even the most gentle areas, like on scabs left by mosquito bites. Vitamin C assists with collagen growth, while vitamin E protects tender skin from environmental factors — like sun damage.

5. Apply Aloe Vera To Renew And Replenish

Organic Aloe Vera Gel, $14, Amazon

Aloe Vera is quite possibly the most effective natural remedy when it comes to reducing scars. This 100-percent pure Aloe Vera gel is cold-pressed and organic to preserve the plant’s natural healing properties. It’s anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, and rich in natural nutrients, and because this brand is such high quality, the gel absorbs into skin easily and effortlessly, without a sticky residue.

6. Help Skin Heal With Lemon Oil and Vitamin E

Burt’s Bees Lemon Butter, $5, Amazon

Lemon is another effective ingredient when it comes to treating dark spots and scars because it’s rich in vitamin C and has astringent qualities. While this Lemon Butter Cream is made for cuticles and nails, its list of natural ingredients (like lemon oil, beeswax, rosemary extract, vitamin E, and almond oil) make it a pleasant pocket-size fix ideal for healing scars. Users say the compact tin lasts longer than you’d think, and its high-moisture formula easily slides on for simple application.

7. Protect Fresh Scars With Silicone Sheets

Scar Reduction Treatment Gel Sheeting, $20, Amazon

Newer scars need a safe environment to help them heal, and that’s why this Silicone Gel Scar Sheeting is ideal for post-surgery treatment, specifically. It protects scars from germs and outside contact while the permeated surface still allows healing skin to breathe and retain moisture. Application is easy and effortless, and sheets can be cut for a custom-fit shape that lasts up to 24 hours at a time.

8. Heal From The Inside-Out With Grape Seed

Purethentic Naturals Grape Seed Extract, $18, Amazon

When it comes to scars, healing them from the inside-out can be a great addition to topical treatment. Grape Seed Extract boosts the healing of wounds because it enhances the growth of epidermal tissue, and these capsules from Purethentic Naturals contain nothing but grape seed — no fillers and no unnecessary ingredients. Added bonus: It’s great for your immune system and your cardiovascular health.

9. Promote Skin Rejuvenation With Vitamin A

Seeking Health Vitamin A Drops, $22, Amazon

Vitamin A is a must for the healing and rejuvenation of skin tissue, and if you’ve got a deficiency, odds are your scars will be sticking around for a while. These vitamin A drops are a great dietary supplement because they’re free from common allergens (like gluten, casein, and corn) and they’re easy to administer. Just put a few neutral-tasting drops into anything you happen to be eating or drinking, and reap the benefits of smoother skin. One user even said her oily, acne-prone skin appeared clearer days after use.

10. Heal With Bentonite Clay At Home

Bentonite Clay Mask, $10, Amazon

This healing clay mask remineralizes the body with calcium and silica, and because it’s natural, it’s a smart solution for sensitive skin. The best part? Your scar-healing journey is going to feel like a spa day administered right from your home. One user said acne-related scars around her T-Zone and mouth healed up after two uses.

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie's Royal Ascot Outfits Come With the Most Colorful Hats

Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie’s Royal Ascot Outfits Come With the Most Colorful Hats

One of the most stylish events of the year has to be the Royal Ascot. I mean, it is one of Queen Elizabeth II’s favorite events of the year, so that’s saying something. It seems like there was a color memo this year, because everyone from the queen to Kate Middleton wore blue. Kate opted for a sheer Elie Saab number, while our favorite royal sisters, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, also chose different variations of the stunning hue.

Even though the sisters color-coordinated, they found a fun way to show off their different personalities: chic hats. Princess Eugenie opted for a turquoise dress that featured a pleated skirt. To add a pop of color, she styled her outfit with a bright yellow fascinator. Princess Beatrice opted for a more muted shade and stunned in a pastel blue lace dress from the brand Maje. Her dress featured a Peter Pan collar, three-quarter sleeves, and a belt that cinched in her waist. Rather than opting for a vibrant hat like her older sister did, Beatrice matched her dress with a wide-brim hat by Bundle MacLaren. Both royals finished their looks with clutches and studded Valentino heels. Read on to see all angles of their outfits.

How One Silk Camisole Became My Most-Worn Wardrobe Essential

How One Silk Camisole Became My Most-Worn Wardrobe Essential

Fashion worshipper I may be, but I do love a uniform — very much so. Sure, the pull-out-all-the-stops runway-inspired look might be fun from time to time, but I’m constantly on the hunt for that outfit formula of sorts. It is that unicorn of a composition of separates that can be mixed and matched by color, print, or material, but always works out as a no-brainer sum of its parts, pulling you together in no time at all. While daytime generally calls for a bodysuit, jeans, and cashmere sweater when it comes to my personal wardrobe, a nod to the early-aughts has officially given me the gift of a more dressed-up, though equally effortless, counterpart: the silk camisole.

Perhaps once referred to as some form of the “going out top,” I no longer have to be going much of anywhere to find myself reaching for the silky camisole that gives my look just the right amount of oomph without going over-the-top or looking fussy. With a classic silk camisole, I feel equal parts boudoir-inspired and youthful; sultry and fun; yet also classic and timeless. Whether I’m dressing down the essential with a pair of Levi’s 501 cutoffs or tucking it casually into a head-turning skirt for a cocktail party as the sun begins to set; keeping warm with a chunky knit over my shoulders for Winter, or baring as much skin as possible in the thick of a Summer heatwave; the silk camisole rose to the top of my closet’s MVP stack from the first time I slipped one over my head.

And now, come Summer, it’s your turn. Shop my favorites ahead and I dare you to find a look that doesn’t become better with one of them.
