Ben Shephard, 45, has stepped in for Piers Morgan, 55, on Good Morning Britain over the summer break. The Tipping Point presenter has now confirmed that “rumours” of him leaving the ITV show are “not true”.

His comments come after a social media user quizzed Ben on his future on the programme, after it was announced he would be away from the programme.

The person in question asked: “@benshephard Morning Ben, seen this morning you are leaving GMB, with rumours Declan Rice leaving. It’s all a bit of a coincidence don’t you think?”

Ben was quick to respond, as he took to the micro-blogging site and confirmed he had no plans to exit forever.

In view of his 753,000 followers, he penned: “Haha – the rumors of me leaving are definitely not true, much as I’d love to get the call up!”
