Back in 2018, Dianne Buswell, 31, got to her furthest point in the Strictly Come Dancing competition so far with YouTube star Joe Sugg, 30, who she is now dating. The dancing duo made it to the final on the show, but missed out on the Glitterball trophy to Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton. She is currently competing with 49-year-old actor and comedian Robert Webb.

Speaking on Lorraine today, the dancer revealed that Joe advised her to give her new partner a break, as she admitted she was tougher with him in rehearsals.

On advice they had received from the past contestant, the red-haired beauty revealed: “He told you [Robert] to make sure you take your break.

“I’ve been very nice to you, I have given you your packed lunch break,” she added.

“I get in all those minutes,” the actor joked.

She added: “Joe said, ‘Make sure Dianne that you give him a break’.

“I was kind of a bit tougher on Joe I think.”

The dancing duo will return to the floor this Saturday for movie week.

Ahead of their third performance, they have been giving fans an insight into rehearsals.

Yesterday, she filmed the Peep Show star stretching out his legs in the studio.

The dancer captioned the post: “I have pushed him hard today.”

Today, the pair responded to fans’ questions on Dianne’s Instagram Story.

One fan asked which dance he was looking forward to the most, to which he revealed was the Charleston.

On what he thought of Dianne when he first met her, he replied: “Kind and gentle.”

“And now the table has turned,” the dancer joked, laughing.

“Indeed,” he replied.

The comedian went on to joke that Dianne thought he was a talented guy, up until now.

He went on to say he had been having nightmares and broken sleep after thinking about the dance routines in his head while in bed.

So far in the competition, they have performed a Cha Cha Cha, which earned them 20 out of 40 points.

Last week, they received a higher score of 27 following their Tango routine.

On Saturday, they will be performing a Quickstep to the The Muppet Show Theme.

Strictly Come Dancing: Movie Week is live on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday at 6.45pm.

The results show airs on Sunday at 7.10pm.
