Gogglebox favourite Ellie Warner has confirmed that she'll be returning to our screens this evening, Friday 13 May, after a short hiatus from the popular Channel 4 show.

Ellie has featured on the show alongside her sister Izzi since 2015, but as a result of her boyfriend Nat Eddleton being hit by a car in March, she's been MIA from Gogglebox as she stuck by her long-term partner's hospital bed side.

After the collision, Nat was rushed into intensive care with collapsed lungs and a broken neck as a result of the accident and, as of earlier this month, he still remained on life support.

Confirming her return, Ellie shared a selfie with Izzi on their sofa writing: "Looking forward to getting back on your screens tonight! Thank you for all the well wishes, we are really grateful that things are getting back to normal".

In the wake of her announcement, Gogglebox fans have flocked to the comments section of her post to share their delight knowing she'll be back on TV this evening.

"Yayyyyyyyy! We’ve missed you!" wrote Shaughna Phillips, as ITV's Dr Amir Khan said: "Ah fantastic can’t wait to see you again, hasn’t been the same without you".

"Ahhh you’ve been missed," added a third person, while another Gogglebox fan said: "Missed you both so much, sending love and prayers".

Ellie's boyfriend Nat suffered a broken neck and collapsed lungs as a result of the horror car crash two months ago.

After the incident, the hairdresser asked for donations to brain injury charity Headway for her birthday.

"For my birthday this year, I'm asking for donations to Headway – the brain injury association," Ellie wrote on Facebook earlier this month.

"I've chosen this charity because their mission means a lot to me, and I hope that you'll consider contributing as a way of celebrating with me.

“Every little bit will help me reach my goal. I've included information about Headway – the brain injury association below.”

Ellie added: "Headway's mission is to promote the understanding of all aspects of brain injury and to provide vital information, support and services to people with a brain injury, their families and carers.”

A man who's thought to have been responsible for the crash that's left Nat with lifechanging injuries was quizzed by police last month.

West Yorkshire Police confirmed that "the driver was questioned" after the incident, according to The Sun.
