Helen Flanagan has revealed how she told her children that she had a boob job.

The former Coronation Street actress recently underwent breast surgery after becoming unhappy with the way they looked.

Mum-of-three Helen broke the news to her one million Instagram followers last week, explaining that she had chosen to undergo the enhancement procedure in secret to help her self-confidence.

She said she ‘never thought’ that she would have a boob job due to her previously ‘busty figure’ but admitted that her confidence plummeted when she went from wearing an E-cup to a B-cup after having kids.

She said: “There’s no nicer way to say it but they just became really saggy. It just affected my confidence.”

The 32-year-old shares her three children, Matilda, seven, Delilah, four and 18-month-old Charlie with her ex-fiance Scott Sinclair.

The couple, who had been together for 13-years called time on their relationship in October.

She also added that she ‘loved breastfeeding’ her three children but ‘really noticed’ a significant change in her body after giving birth to her second daughter Delilah in 2018.

However, having decided that she did want a third child, Helen put the surgery on hold until after Charlie was born.

Chatting on Instagram today, Helen invited her followers to ask questions about the procedure.

One fan wanted to know: “Will you tell your girls? Like how will you explain it to them? X”

The star wrote back confirming that she had already told them, adding: “I was just honest with them and didn’t make a big deal of it.

“Matilda is just an angel and just no bother at all. Delilah is only 4 and as soon as she came home she was so excited to see me she head butted me by accident.

“I just said mummy’s had a little op so I can’t carry you or Charlie. Delilah still will be carried.”

In another question she was asked: “How long after are you able to lift? I have a 1 year old and desperate to have mine done.”

Helen replied: “I just can’t wait to hold and carry Charlie like normal that is the most frustrating.

“I made sure my child care was good before my operation. I go back in a few days to sort my dressings etc and I just hope they tell me I can carry home again soon.

“I’m taking my recovery seriously though I don’t want to pull anything.”
