The Chase star Jenny Ryan, 38, has taken to Twitter to express her concerns over those in charge of scheduling episodes of the hit game show on ITV, after noting she’d rarely been off screen week. The Vixen star was inundated with responses from viewers about her remarks, as she also spoke of the new Chaser.

The New Chaser™ is *not* Trump

Jenny informed her 81,000 followers of her concerns, after her fellow chasers barely appeared in the hot seat once this week.

She also addressed the fact the new Chaser, Darragh Ennis, is yet to make his debut on the programme.

He joins herself, Mark Labbett, Shaun Wallace, Anne Hegerty and Paul Sinha in taking on brave members of the public.

She light-heartedly penned: “The schedulers are truly torturing the viewership at the moment!

“Two ‘me’ episodes in three days, and STILL no New Chaser… #TheChase.”

Jenny went on to set the record straight on the hilarious rumours suggesting the idea that Donald Trump could be the new Chaser.

“Contrary to rumour the New Chaser™ is *not* Trump,” she wrote in another tweet.

“If it were, teams would be embroiled in endless legal wranglings over their winnings, and it would be years before they saw a penny. Nobody wants that.”

It wasn’t long before many weighed in on the conversation with their thoughts.

One replied to Jenny: “I thought the new chaser was revealed a while ago as a previous contestant but by the looks of the silhouette, it’s not the same person!! #TheChase.”

Another shared underneath: “What an amazing episode today Jenny. And you were so gracious in defeat. You’re my favourite Chaser.”

“Can’t wait to meet the new chaser. Great show tonight, I love it when they win,” a third went on to say.

“Never seen you flustered like that before.”

A fourth then joked: “I bet you’re looking forward to the relief of not being referred to as ‘the new Chaser’ anymore.”

While Jenny seems to be excited by a newcomer on the show, Mark, who is known as The Beast, revealed he is “gutted” about the decision.

He explained: “I’m gutted about it, to be honest.

“We only get paid for when we work so a new Chaser means less work.

“There will be a point where I can’t afford to do it any more. I’ll have to go back to teaching.”

He added to the Sun: “Last year we only filmed half as Bradley Walsh was on Doctor Who and if I didn’t have other work it would be really tough.”

The Chase airs weeknights at 5pm on ITV.
