Kevin Clifton appeared to blast Stacey Dooley’s former romantic relationship Sam Tucknott in a cryptic post.
The 36-year-old dancing professional started dating his celebrity dance partner months after they were crowned Strictly Come Dancing 2018 champions – but he has hinted Stacey’s relationship with her ex was already struggling before he came into the picture.
Kevin, who split from wife and co-star Karen Clifton last year, liked a mysterious post about partnerships on Instagram hinting he was not to blame for the journalist’s break-up.
Lifestyle guru Jay Shetty, from North London, shared a quote on his popular Instagram, which read: ‘Any relationship that could be “ruined” by having a conversation about feelings, standards, or expectations wasn’t really firm enough anyway, so there isn’t much to ruin.’
Jay captioned the post: ‘Don’t try to keep the other person by avoiding tough conversations because then you’ll lose yourself.
‘The No1 thing that makes a relationship last is not date nights, fancy vacations or gifts but actually “knowing how to fight.”
‘Knowing how to communicate in conflict is such a valuable skill for our relationships.’
The BBC documentary-maker split from Sam in March after three years together, with the personal trainer claiming that after they broke up, Stacey started up a relationship with Kevin.
In a text Sam shared with The Sun, Stacey is said to have written: ‘Sam, I know you hate me at the moment.
‘But you saw I didn’t start entertaining and texting him (Kevin) until I split up with you. I was not with you when we started it all.
‘I did fall for him but when we were done. I will tell you anything you want to know.’
While Stacey and Kevin have yet to officially confirm their relationship, Dooley has been supporting the professional dancer as he tours with the stage show Burn The Floor.
Kevin – who has been married three times – is set to return to Strictly this year, with his contract stating he must get a celebrity partner.
