Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger has debuted a brand new hair transformation on social media, just days after she was allegedly attacked on the day of her baby daughter’s funeral.
The 35 year old star tragically lost her second child, baby Lorena, just hours after her birth and bid a final goodbye to the precious tot at a private funeral last week.
However the reality star was later said to have been assaulted shortly after the burial, with police soon arresting a suspect in the wake of the alleged attack.
Remaining silent on social media, Lauren has kept a low profile ever since the alleged assault, but was spotted out in public for the first time on Friday (August 12) before debuting her brand new look on social media platform Instagram.
In the stunning snap, Lauren’s hair could be seen cascading over her shoulders in a perfectly coiffed wave as she showed off her bouncy blow dry and shining locks.
The classic hairstyle perfectly showcased her blonde highlights, while the glossy sheen added an extra glow to her look.
Captioning the post, Lauren wrote: “Today was the first day out for some self love.”
“One step at a time to going back slowly to normal life. Small steps.”
In a statement from the Metropolitan Police about last week's assault, they confirmed that a 25 year old man had been arrested.
“Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex. Officers attended. At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries.
“A man was arrested on suspicion of assault. He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries.”
Following the news of the shocking attack, Lauren was taken to hospital where a friend later told The Sun that the star “feared she may have broken her eye socket”.
The news of Lauren’s assault, and subsequent self care makeover comes after the mum-of-one spoke to OK! about her heartbreak over losing her daughter Lorena.
“When I get into bed in the evening, I just want Lorena there next to me,” she told us. “I feel like I can keep strong in the day for Larose, but at night, that’s when it just hits me. That’s when I feel really, really sad and I miss her so much.”
Lauren continued: "Lorena has a teddy with her now and I’ve got a matching one, which I keep with me. When I say my final goodbye to her, I’m going to swap them over. I’m going to have the one she’s had, and she will have the one I’ve had.”
“She was just perfect,” Lauren continued. “She was very, very much like Larose. She had beautiful black hair and blue eyes. She had big lips, a tiny little nose and a lovely skin tone. She looked like a really healthy and solid baby.”
