Louise Redknapp has previously opened up about her regrets following her split with ex-husband Jamie Redknapp. The football pundit tied the knot with his new wife Frida Andersson-Lourie and the happy couple has since announced the arrival of their son Raphael Anders.

According to reports, Louise, 47, had found it “difficult” when Jamie and Frida had announced their pregnancy news.

The former Eternal bandmate shares two sons, Charley, 17, and Beau, 12 with Jamie.

Ahead of the former professional footballer’s baby arrival, it had previously been claimed Jamie was having a third son, according to Heat magazine.

A source told the publication: “Louise has been finding it difficult since Jamie and Frida announced their baby news – and it was always going to be hard for her, whether they were having a son or daughter.

“But there is a slight relief that they’re having a boy rather than a girl. She was always so open about being keen for a daughter – and she knows Jamie would’ve loved a girl, too.”

It was also reported that Louise is happy to see her two sons welcome another brother.

“She knows Charley and Beau will love having another brother, but she is a bit worried about it becoming a boys’ club in the family,” the source continued.

“It’s made her feel a bit left out.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Louise Redknapp’s representatives for comment.

While Louise admitted in her book, You’ve Got This: And Other Things I Wish I Had Known, that she wished she had tried harder to save her marriage, she appears to be in a better place now.

The mother-of-two has spoken candidly about her dating life in a previous interview with The Sun’s Fabulous Magazine.

Speaking about her sons, she explained: “Oh yeah, they always say: ‘When are you going to [date]?’ Dating just takes time.”

“It sounds basic, but I’ve got two things that are really important to me right now: my kids, because I want to be a solid part of their life, and my work.

“Right now, that’s enough for me, I’m not saying forever. I’m learning to just be OK with myself. I’m not loving myself, but I’ve been OK. I’m getting there,” she concluded in the recent chat.

Meanwhile, Jamie took to Instagram and announced the arrival of his new son yesterday.

The smitten couple have named their first child together Raphael Anders.

Sharing an adorable photo of him cosied up to the newborn, Jamie said: “Meet Raphael Anders Redknapp.

“We’re so in love, mum is doing so well too.

“We can’t thank the amazing doctors and nurses at the Chelsea and Westminster enough.

“So excited for him to meet my boys.”
