Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts, 56, brightened his own Monday morning by joking around with a fan who asked him what his ideal first date would be. Pretending to turn down the viewer for a romantic experience, he then offered some advice on what his go to plans would be.

Kind of you to ask, but I’m already married!

During his Ask Martin Monday Twitter Q&A, one fan pondered what he would plan if he was taking someone on a first date.

They wrote: “Hi Martin. What’s your ideal first date for a 31yr old man who’s into craft beer, golf & the career of @DionDublinsDube?” referring to former footballer and Martin’s BBC co-star Dion Dublin.

Despite not asking Martin to join him on said date, the presenter decided to have some fun anyway.

“Kind of you to ask, but I’m already married!” he quipped before revealing what he would opt to do.

“Only joking, I think you can’t beat a nice meal or a picnic!”

It seemed it was a day for all sorts of questions not property related, as Martin found himself debating the existence of life in outerspace.

One fan wanted to know whether he believed in aliens or not, a question that’s put even the most scientific minds at a loss.

“Hi Martin, Do you believe aliens are real? Or are we all alone? Have a great Monday,” they probed.

Responding with his honest judgement, the property expert replied: “The jury’s out.

“It’s a big universe out there, and if you believe in the theory of infinity there must be an infinite number of alien planets out there.”

He also revealed what the best part of his job co-hosting Homes Under The Hammer is.

In a humbling answer, Martin pointed out what makes him feel good inside.

“Seeing the properties & meeting the people & hopefully inspiring a few,” he responded to the question posed by a curious fan.

Homes Under The Hammer airs weekdays at 10am on BBC One.
