Michelle Keegan, 32 and Mark Wright, 33 celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary today with Mark spotted giving wife Michelle a bouquet of assorted yellow flowers.

Michelle took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post reminiscing about the couples wedding day.

She captioned the post: “5 years ago today. Happy Wedding Anniversary @wrighty_ Thank you for always holding my hand.”

Mark also celebrated their anniversary with his Instagram followers.

Mark said: “Happy 5 years @michkeegan Thank you for being you, making me smile every day and Thank you for being my biggest supporter. Love you always x.”

Michelle and Mark are reported to have met in 2012 while they were both holidaying separately in Dubai.

The pair then made it official a year later in 2013.

They appeared for the first time as a couple on the red carpet for the 2013 Soap Awards.

Later that year, Michelle and Mark returned to the place they first met in Dubai, and Mark popped the question.

Michelle confirmed their engagement on a post to Twitter.

She tweeted: “THANKYOU for all the lovely messages, and yes it’s true @markwright_ and I are engaged !! We are so SO happy 🙂 xxx.”

Talking about their engagement exclusively to HELLO! Magazine, Michelle said: “I thought he was joking at first and then he said come here.

“I started crying and said yes, and then he started welling up as well.

“Then as we walked further down the beach I saw a table set up with lanterns and petals, and with two glasses of champagne.”

Two years later the pair went onto tie the knot in Bury St Edmunds in a ceremony at St Mary’s Church.

However, their relationship turned long distance after the two had commitments either side of the Atlantic.

At the time, Michelle was working on Our Girl and Mark had launched a presenting career in America.

However, the couple is said to have made it work through their busy schedules, making sure to make time for each other.

In an interview with Lorraine Kelly in 2018, Mark said they: “Try and make sure it’s three weeks maximum that [they] don’t see each other.”

Mark has since returned to living in the UK.

In an interview with The Sun, Mark spoke of how Michelle always supported her even when they were apart.

Mark told the publication: “She always supported my decision and never once asked me to come home.”
