Ore Oduba has shown off his massive new leg tattoo in honour of his “life changing” experience on the gruelling Special Forces style course on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The former Strictly Come Dancing star shared a positive post thanking his time on the Channel 4 show and all the lessons he learnt from the instructors, especially Ant Middleton.

Posting a series of images of an unusual torch image on his leg, it also featured the name of his son Roman inked in the middle.

The dad of one, who married his wife Portia in 2015 and they are now expecting their second child together, explained what lead him to make such a bold and permanent decision to document the memories of the show.

“#inked SAS EP 3: the one when EVERYTHING changed… I’ve never felt emptier, exhausted and like I had nothing left to give than on that bloody mountain side,” the 35 year old star began, telling followers that his son was the only thing keeping him going at one point.

Ore told how he’d suffered from extreme hypothermia and thought his time on the course was up, but thankfully he woke up “re-energised” and it was like the day before hadn’t even happened.

“I’d inherited a new drive and a new lease of life,” the presenter continued. “I had no idea how I felt so good but I knew I had to seize the day, start on the front foot and grab whatever hellish task the DS had lined up for us by the absolute balls!!!

“That barrel challenge was a B*****D!!! I couldn’t have done it without @shanazereade whose strength and fierce determination was impossible not to absorb. We bossed it. Led from the very beginning and never looked back.”

Finishing the story by praising his celebrity teammate further, the dad of one went on to say how Ant’s words of encouragement had hit him hard.

“Later that day @antmiddleton called me in,” he said. “He said a lot of things, not all of them nice but all of them fair.

“He compared me to a torch… the longer you hold it, he said, the brighter it shines.”

Having experienced a total lightbulb moment, Ore finished by revealing that not only had the former soldier managed to sum up “so much of his life” so far, but he’d also changed his “entire outlook” going forward.

“This tattoo acts as a daily reminder of my inner strength and to never let anyone dim my light. To always shine my torch bright,” an emotional Ore added. “You don’t need to lift a fuel barrel to realise that. I LOVE it. Hope I made you proud, Roman #shinebright #bepositive #yourestrongerthanyouthink #ink #tattoo #artwithmeaning.”

Ore’s impassioned post prompted encouragement from the rest of his SAS celebrity team too.

“My actual heart…. I’m just so proud of you,” singer Alexandra Burke gushed, while Shanaze Reade commented on her mention.

“That was an episode.. it really captured us digging deep! Super proud of you! And I know your son will be too,” she shared.

Reality star Jake Quickenden also shared a series of heart emojis for his friend.
