Prince Harry has said he has a "beautiful and blessed life" in a new photoshoot and interview, hot on the heels of a number of promotional chats for his memoir Spare, which came out today, 10 January.

Despite many revelations from his book already circulating, the Duke of Sussex, 38, posed for an exclusive photoshoot with People magazine, where he opened up even more about his life with wife Meghan Markle, 41, and their two children, Archie, three and Lilibet, 18 months.

The family lives with their three dogs in a sprawling mansion in Montecito, California, after Meghan and Harry stepped down as working members of the royal family in 2020 and embarked on a new life in the US.

Speaking to People, Harry said: "I have a beautiful and blessed life — one that comes with a platform and with it responsibility, that Meghan and I plan to use wisely.

"I feel I am exactly where I am meant to be and exactly where we [my family] are meant to be."

When asked how he sees himself, the former senior royal said: "A husband and a father – first and foremost – as well as a veteran, environmentalist, and mental health advocate. I know that I want to live my life in service of others and that I want to live by example for my kids."

He also shared that he and Meghan are just like anyone else who enjoys fast food from time to time, with Harry citing In-N-Out Burger as their favourite, even revealing what they like to order.

He said: "In-N-Out is the best! I order two double-doubles, animal style, fries and a Coke! And that's just for me! Meg gets the cheeseburger and fries with sides of jalapeños. I just stick with ketchup and that special sauce of theirs. So good!"

Meghan has also spoken about their love for the celebrity-adored burger chain in a revealing interview with Variety, which came out last year.

She said: "There's one at the halfway point between L.A. and our neck of the woods. It's really fun to go through the drive-thru and surprise them. They know our order."

Harry has described his book, Spare, as a raw account of "the good, the bad, and everything in between."

He hasn't held back when it comes to discussing his life in the royal family, making a number of claims about members of the family, from brother Prince William and his wife, Kate Middleton, to his stepmother, Camilla Queen Consort, who he described as a "villain".

The book also contains intimate details of Harry's life, from his previous drug use to losing his virginity aged 17 with an older woman in a field behind a pub.
