Janette Manrara did not hold back on Instagram today. The ex Strictly Come Dancing professional appeared to be fuming after three taxi drivers cancelled on her.
You’ve got to do something, because this is not cool
The 37-year-old wasted no time in calling out ride-hailing app, Uber, urging them to “do something”.
The dancer spoke out in view of her 441,000 followers, saying she had been made late for an appointment.
The BBC regular told fans she was “not one to rant” but had been left at the end of her tether by the events.
Janette said what had happened to her was “not cool” after waiting for 40 minutes.
The new It Takes Two presenter looked smart in a black jacket as she spoke directly to the camera.
As her straight hair was blown about in the breeze, the performer appeared to be going make-up free.
Janette did not say what she was late for but made sure to tag @uberuk into her upload.
She panned the camera around to show her surroundings, while wearing a cross body bag.
“So I’m not one to rant on social media, guys,” she started. “Because I’m all about positivity and understanding and patience, and thing like that.
“However. Uber really needs to step up to the plate.”(sic)
She went on to reveal what had happened: “I’ve been standing out here for 40 minutes outside, waiting for my Uber.
“Three of them have cancelled after they’ve taken the job.”
The star continued: “So I’ve been standing here waiting for the first one, he cancelled. Standing here waiting for the second one, then he cancelled.
“And now the third one as well. I even changed the drop off for the last one just to be at the station around the corner from my house.
“And they still cancelled! So Uber, not good enough. You need to step up. You need the services to be better.”
Janette signed off by saying: “You’ve [Uber] got to do something, because this is not cool anymore.
“I’m going to be really late for what I need to do in town.”
Express.co.uk has contacted a spokesperson for Uber asking for comment.
Janette shot to fame in US show, So You Think You Can Dance?, before joining Strictly in 2013.
Married to co-star Aljaž Škorjanec, she has performed with the likes of HRVY, Aston Merrygold, Peter Andre and Jake Wood.
