The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers is set to undergo surgery on his shoulder due to a bike accident.
Flowers also said that the Las Vegas band’s upcoming U.K. tour, currently set to kick off on May 25 at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium, is “not looking great.”
During an Instagram Live Q&A session alongside drummer Ronnie Vannucci Jr., Flowers spoke about the planned dates, which have already been rescheduled from 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. “We hope May happens,” he said. “It’s not looking great.”
The coronavirus pandemic continues wreak havoc, making it unclear when live events will be able to take place in the U.K.
Flowers also revealed that he needs surgery on his shoulder to fix an issue after a bike accident some years ago.
“I went over the handlebars on my bike and an injury from that has manifested itself,” he explained. “I have a torn labrum on that [right] shoulder so I am going under the knife in a couple of weeks to get that taken care of.”
However, the singer teased fans can expect plenty of new music, including a seven-minute-long song about a gambling addict.
He added, “I have a seven-minute song about a slot technician with a gambling problem. It’s good. One day you will hear it.”
In January, The Killers dropped a deluxe edition of Imploding the Mirage, which includes the previously-unreleased song “C’est La Vie” and two live tracks.
