Vita Liberata Heavenly Elixir, £34
- Vita Liberata Heavenly Elixir, £34, Boots – buy here
I find fake tan rarely sticks to my skin (but still manages to stain my sheets /and/leave my skin smelling like a pack of digestives, what’s that all about?!). Any colour I am left with tends to lodge itself in the hair follicles on my legs, so safe to say it’s a sorry sight. It might be a bit too early to think about summer dresses and tanned limbs, but Vita Liberata Heavenly Elixir, £34, is too good not to share. The new-gen formula is the world’s first slow-release tan; meaning it develops over 72 hours to give a flawless, golden glow that mimics a suntan without the UV damage. It’s a serum, rather than cream, so it sinks in really fast and you don’t need to reapply it like you do most gradual tans for the colour to deepen. Plus, thanks to the hydrating aloe, it doesn’t dry out my legs or leave me looking like the world’s most difficult dot to dot.
Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Palette, £25
- Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Palette, £25, Cult Beauty – buy here
No matter how many bold and bright or pretty pastel eyeshadow palettes I try, I always return to warm honey golden brown shades and, judging by Beyonce’s latest Ivy Park collection, they’re currently bang on trend. Whether it’s a quick wash of bronzer in my crease, or an all-out copper smokey eye, the orange tones seem to flatter my blue-green eyes and are super low maintenance. The latest addition to my stash, Huda Beauty Brown Obsessions Palette, £25, is hitting all the right notes. The mix of creamy mattes, marbled shimmers and OTT glitters work for all occasions and are completely foolproof. My fave is Toffee Brown, but there are three variations to suit all skin tones, so there’s something for everyone.
Ghd Max Styler, £179
- Ghd Max Styler, £179, Lookfantastic – buy here
I had 15 inches chopped off my hair late last year, and since then I’ve been on a mission to get better at styling it myself at home. It’s still pretty long though, so anything that cuts down my time in front of the mirror, but leaves me feeling polished, is always a winner. Enter Ghd Max Styler, £179. The 30 second heat up time, combined with Ghd’s widest plates, make straightening my hair super-quick, and the large plates also create the perfect un-done wave that I’ve been trying to achieve for /years/. If you’ve got thick, curly or frizzy hair, I think you’ll love them too.
Sanctuary Spa De-Stress Bath Salts with Magnesium, £8
Sanctuary Spa De-Stress Bath Salts with Magnesium, £8, Amazon – buy here
It’s taken 25 years, a global pandemic and three lockdowns, but I’ve finally learned to enjoy baths. I attribute it largely to a whole lot of bubble bath, more candles than can be fire-safe by any stretch of the imagination and Sanctuary Spa De-Stress Bath Salts with Magnesium, £8. The combination of general WFH stress and pandemic induced anxiety, the fact I largely seem to work from the sofa/bed/floor rather than any acceptable desk set up and my slow progress with the Couch to 5k running programme, means I seem to have a new ache or pain each day, so these soothing salts have been working serious wonders on my wind down routine.
L’Oreal’s Wonder Water is the £9.99 miracle your hair needs – yes, it is that good.
