If you binge watched Bridgerton and have been experiencing a Duke-shaped hole since the series ended, you’ll be delighted to know that filming for series two is well underway – and it seems the show’s protagonist, Daphne Bridgerton, is getting a fresh look for the new season.
Phoebe Dynevor, who plays darling Daphne, uploaded a snap on her Instagram Stories of a brand new hair cut and colour, after visiting London’s Josh Wood salon. The outcome of the trip is a new spicy copper colour, wispy layers, and a bang on-trend curtain fringe.
It’s most definitely an upgrade from Daphne’s demure mini fringe and subtle Regency red from season one. We can only wonder what Mrs Whistledown would say about such a saucy makeover!
Phoebe is such a natural-looking redhead that it’s hard to think of her with any other hue, but the star was actually a blonde right up until the end of 2019, when she began filming the first series of Bridgerton.
No one quite expected the show to be such a hit, but it’s nabbed the title of the most-watched series on Netflix. It’s also said to have sparked a whole copper hair colour trend, with people desperate to transform their post-lockdown lengths into a fresh Regency-red shade.
So what is it? “A very softened red shade with a golden tone, rather than a bold or bright pigment,” explains Zoë Irwin, Wella Professionals colour trend expert.
“The palette your colourist can use to create just the right soft copper or red for you is almost endless. If they match it perfectly to you, your eyes will pop and it will look super flattering on all skin tones.”
