Carol Vorderman has given a glimpse of her cosy night away in a converted live-in van as she took inspiration for her own bespoke vehicle.

The 60 year old spent the night in a gorgeous converted van featuring a mini log burner and even a projector for watching films on the inside of the door.

The former Countdown presenter took her 101,000 Instagram followers inside the glamorous van which has been decked out with plush furnishings by renovation company Vanlife Builds.

Carol gave a sneak peek inside the slate grey panel van which featured a stove on the lower deck and two white hammocks hanging from either door.

The top bunk featured a cosy bed area with crisp white linen and gold and cream cushions to complement the neutral colour scheme.

A skylight had been fitted above the bed to give a gorgeous view of the stars while faux hanging plants add a natural feel to the custom-built van.

Carol shared a view of the sweet wood burner with a vase of long matches and a stack of wood to heat the cosy home.

Speaking on her Instagram, she said: “Now do you see that wood burner there? I definitely want one of those because that saves on the electricity used for heating over a night or two.

“Can you imagine that? Cosy, cosy, cosy!”

Meanwhile Carol was in awe of a tiny projector which screened onto the inside of the door.

The brunette beauty described how the tech was “amazing” as she watched a time-lapse video of the van renovation.

The Vanlife Builds also took to their Instagram to share a glimpse inside the gorgeous van in the daylight.

A beautiful wooden flooring has been laid throughout to complement the breakfast bar.

The renovation team have opted for cream cupboards in the kitchen area with a natural oak surface and gorgeous gold fittings.

There is also plenty of storage in the stunning van with overhead cupboards and even adorable wooden plaques which read “natural” and “spirit”.

It comes after the mum-of-two previously told OK! that the version of herself that people see on television is different to who she is off-screen.

She said: "I've got two mottos in life. One is, 'You're a long time dead' – which I used before coronavirus, but not now.

"It basically means if there's mischief to be had, I'm first in the queue! It's quite funny because the Carol people see on the telly is not the Carol in the real world at all.

"A lot of that comes from the roles I've had on telly, which have generally been about maths and science," Carol told us.

"When my friends see me they go, 'Oh my god, here she is!' Another rule I live by is 'find what makes you happy and do more of it'."
