But savvy social media users from around the world think that they have the answer as they have claimed that influencers don’t actually use a mirror to take their flawless snaps.
A theory shared on Reddit has caused uproar across Twitter after it was claimed that influencers are actually using another camera to take their selfies, rather than a mirror.

People have been left completely gobsmacked after the shocking revelation, saying they felt ‘bamboozled’ by the ‘fake’ mirror pictures.

Danielle Bernstein, who goes by weworewhat on Instagram, was just one of the influencers who people claimed was taking her mirror selfies without actually using a mirror.
Meanwhile, Ella Emhoff, the stepdaughter of US Vice President Kamala Harris, was also involved in the theory, after she shared an apparent mirror selfie while outside.

One Twitter user couldn’t believe that they hadn’t noticed Ella’s picture was outdoors, commenting: ‘Wait she’s outside on a patio in that first picture how didn’t we realize this earlier’
Other Twitter users admitted they use the technique themselves, with an Oxford Brookes University student saying she thought she was being ‘really smart’ with the little-known technique.
The woman, who goes by seawitch on Twitter, wrote: ‘I’m not an influencer but I do this all the time and thought I was being really smart didn’t realise this was a thing.’
Influencer Kara Del Toro, who boasts 1.6million Instagram followers, recently took to TikTok where she admitted she uses the sneaky technique to take her flawless and smudge-free snaps.
After sharing the handy hack, she posted an array of ‘mirror’ pictures to Instagram, quipping: ‘If you follow me on TikTok you probably know the secret behind these photos.’
