PIERRE-EMERICK AUBAMEYANG has revealed his absence from Arsenal's last two matches were due to his mother's health issues.
The Gabon striker was left out of the Gunners' last two matchday squads against Southampton in the FA Cup and Premier League.
He travelled to the South Coast for the 1-0 cup defeat but headed back at the last minute because of 'personal matter.'
But Auba, 31, has confirmed he will be back home on Wednesday night with his mother recovering.
He wrote in a statement online: "Hey guys, thank you so much for all the messages and calls over the last few days.
"My mother is going through some health issues and I had to be there for her.
"She's already much better now and I will be back home tonight. I'm more than grateful to the doctors and nurses helping her get through this."
