HARRY KANE has delighted Tottenham fans with a first home league goal of the season.

The England skipper broke his Tottenham Hotspur Stadium Prem duck with a typically clinical finish against Liverpool.

Kane, 28, coolly slotted past Alisson after being put through on goal by Tanguy Ndombele.

It's his first goal since netting in the 3-2 win away at Newcastle on October 17.

And it's just a second league goal of the season for the three-time Premier League golden boot winner.

By scoring Kane draws level with Manchester United midfielder Fred and Burnley's Ben Mee for goals scored this campaign.

But Kane's goal on 13 minutes did put Spurs 1-0 up against the title chasing Reds in North London.

Although things could have immediately turned sour for Kane after a lunging challenge on Andy Robertson.

Untypical of the striker, he charged at the left-back and dived in, making connection with Robertson's shin with his studs.

Referee Paul Tierney brandished a yellow card much to the dismay of Jurgen Klopp.

Spurs also protested the decision with home fans feeling Kane had made a slight touch of the ball before clattering into Robertson.

VAR chief Chris Kavanagh had a look at the challenge, but decided no further punishment was needed for Kane.

Diogo Jota equalised for Liverpool on 35 minutes with an inch-perfect header after a cross from Robertson himself.
