PARIS SAINT-GERMAIN president Nasser al-Khelaifi has revealed that he is 'confident' Kylian Mbappe and Neymar will sign new contracts at Parc des Princes.
The importance of the duo was underlined in the club's 5-1 Champions League win against Istanbul Basaksehir with both men getting on the score sheet.
Brazilian star Neymar helped himself to a hat-trick, while Mbappe banged in a double to become the youngest player ever to reach 20 Champions League goals.
Their future at PSG has been in question, with Neymar repeatedly linked with a move back to Barcelona.
And Mbappe has also been tipped with a switch to LaLiga as Real Madrid look to lure him to the Bernabeu.
Both men are set to become free agents in 2022, but PSG president Nasser al-Khelaifi has claimed the club are in talks to extend their stay.
The 47-year-old told RMC Sport: "We have begun to talk with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
"The discussions will remain confidential but I am very confident.
"They both want to stay with us at PSG."
Neymar has also spoken of his desire to remain in the French capital, as he said: "I am very happy here, in Paris.
"I am very happy at the club, with my team-mates. The idea of leaving has not crossed my mind.
"We need to talk. We have a very good relationship, I am very happy and we will see what happens in the future."
The duo have been in fine form this season, with the ex-Santos ace chipping in with nine goals and five assists in 11 games in all competitions.
Mbappe has been more deadly having found the back of the net on 12 occasions, while he has also provided eight assists from his 14 outings.
