Follow all the action from the Russian Grand Prix as Lewis Hamilton attempts to match Michael Schumacher’s all-time record of 91 race wins.
The Britain, who already has a 55-point lead over Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas, survived a scare in the second session of qualifying after Sebastian Vettel’s crash almost left Hamilton unable to post a lap.
However, he recovered brilliantly and secured pole with a blistering track record at the Sochi Autodrom to obliterate his rivals, finishing more than half a second clear of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen and six tenths ahead of Valtteri Bottas in the other Mercedes. Follow all the action live below:
Hamilton closing on Verstappen over the last three laps. Ricciardo passes Ocon as the two Renault cars are instructed to let the former have a go at passing Vettel.

“This is ridiculous.” Hamilton not particularly happy about the penalties being served.
Ricciardo in and out of the pits, slightly slowly. Hamilton called into the pits and they are taking the 10-second penalty now. Hard compound tyres on.
Hamilton going against team instructions to come in on this lap for a tyre change. Perez bypasses Ricciardo on the inside and he’s up to fifth.

Lots of positional changes further down the rankings as Russell, Albon and Norris are at the back and continually interchanging.
1.437 seconds the gap from first to second in the space of a lap.
But Hamilton has been given two five-second time penalties for his pre-race violation, one of which can be served in a pit stop.
The safety car is in and we’re racing again as lap six starts. Hamilton leads from Bottas and Verstappen.
Lando Norris is down from eighth to 18th and we hear him saying the steering wheel is ‘very heavy when turning right,’ so problems there too.
