TONI KROOS hilariously mocked Manchester City's statue of Sergio Aguero – after it was pointed out it looks more like the Real Madrid ace.

The tribute to the legendary City striker was unveiled on Friday and depicted his iconic stoppage-time winner in 2012 which clinched the club their first Premier League title.

But fans were quick to point out that it actually looked more like Madrid man Kroos than Aguero.

And the 32-year-old German brilliantly responded with a one-word answer.

He quote tweeted a picture of the statute alongside the caption "Sergio is here," and added: "Sure?"

Reacting to the statue, one fan said: "Nice gesture by Man City to honour Toni Kroos for his part in knocking them out of the #UCL this season."

Aguero was in attendance for the unveiling of his statue – which marks 10 years since his career-defining moment.

And the Argentine, who is City's record goalscorer with 260 goals in 390 appearances, was touched by the club's gesture.

He said: “Truthfully, it is a very beautiful thing for me.
