Nigel Benn's son Harley has become the first person to "sign up" for this year's Love Island, according to reports.

The 24 year old is said to have had video meetings with show bosses earlier this year and is "excited" to have signed up for the show, which has been confirmed to return to Majorca this summer.

Harley is the love child of boxer Nigel, 57, and was conceived when he had an affair with his mum Lisa Andrews whilst he was also undergoing IVF with his wife Carolyne.

He was born just four days before Nigel and Carolyne welcomed twins Conor and India.

A source told The Sun Online: "Harley's already got a huge following and gets loads of attention from the girls.

"He's had video meetings with the casting team and everyone is very excited at the prospect of having him on the show."

However, a representative for Love Island said: "No decisions have been made on the line up."

Reports of Harley signing up for the show come just days after The Circle star Manrika Khaira exclusively revealed to OK! online that she had also been approached for this year's series.

In an interview following the final of the hit Channel 4 show, in which she finished in second place, Manrika said: "I don't feel like The Circle is a reality TV show.

"I mean, it is a reality TV show, but it's a game show, and reality TV isn't something that I really watch.

"I got approached for Love Island at the start of this year, I knew I wouldn't have been able to do it because I'd done The Circle, but I took the call anyway out of professional curiosity.

"Love Island's not a show that I would ever do. I already get enough stick in the media living the life I do as an Indian girl, so if I went on to Love Island and shared a bed with a boy that I'm not married to for the whole world to see, it just wouldn't be great."

Love Island will return to our screens this July and will run for a bumper eight weeks, according to reports.

The TV show is set to go ahead but will be three weeks behind its usual June launch date amid current Covid travel restrictions.

ITV is reportedly still planning for the show to take place in Majorca, but they have Jersey on standby as a location "in case a new strain hits", MailOnline reported earlier this month.
