EX-CORONATION Street star Helen Flanagan broke down in tears when she stopped breastfeeding her son Charlie.

The actress, 32, opened up about the emotional time in a candid Q&A with fans on Instagram.

When she was asked if she still breastfeeds her one-year-old son, Helen responded with a close-up selfie of her teary face.

She then wrote: "No x I finished feeding Charlie at 14 months. It's so emotional when you stop feeding I think it's because it's highly likely Charlie is my last baby.

"It took a good two months to get Charlie off the boob and I had to get help with that. I finished feeding on our summer holiday to Dubai but I had a fun child free trip planned that I needed Charlie to be off the boob for so I looked at the positives."

In another post Helen told her fans how much she loved breastfeeding and the bond it created between her and her babies.

She found the process easy with Delilah and Charlie, but it was a different story altogether with daughter Matilda.

Helen said: "I was told my latch wasn't right, I had no confidence I was being so overwhelmed with being a mum anyway and shocked, I'd never even changed a nappy before."

Fortunately her perseverance paid off, and with the help of her mum's support and 'life-saving' nipple shields she got the hang of it.

Yesterday Helen showed off her natural beauty as she popped out without makeup on.
