Dragons' Den whipped up a fire on social media when an old Dragon star made an epic return to the BBC One studio.
High street mogul Theo Paphitis, the chairman of stationary giant Ryman, strode into the studio as a "new but very familiar face" on Thursday night (June 3) as he sat down to join his fellow dragons investors.
Theo, who is the former chairman of Millwall Football Club, was sent in to replace his old colleague Peter Jones who had to self-isolate due to Covid-19 lockdown restrictions.
After entering Dragons' Den for series 2 back in 2005, Theo left in 2012 – making an initial return for series 17 in 2019 to cover for Touker Suleyman, who had been recovering from a short-term illness.
Last year, The Sunday Times Rich List pinned the retail magnate's net worth at an estimated £290 million so he can't have had much trouble paying for the taxi ride there!
As Theo graced the studio at the beginning of the episode, with presenter Evan Davis calling him a "high street heavyweight", Deborah was absolutely thrilled to have her old friend back on the panel.
A delighted Deborah told her former co-star: "Can I say, it's really nice to have you here again".
Theo replied to Deborah, saying: "Thank you, it's good to be here" but admitted replacing Peter comes with big pressure, adding: "Big shoes to fill".
Deborah then made an amusing reference to Peter's large shoe-size, joking: "Literally big shoes [to fill]…"
Theo, who was sporting some bold yellow socks, then poked fun at Peter when he said: "I've put stupid socks on in homage to the tall fella [Peter]".
