Emmerdale viewers were devastated on Thursday as they predicted Tracy Metcalfe will be diagnosed with postnatal depression.
Things between Tracy and Nate seemed to be souring after Nate broke his foot when David ran over it.
And with Nate unable to climb the stairs quickly, Tracy was left to feed baby Frankie in the middle of the night.
She was also forced to miss the family photoshoot when Nate said he couldn’t get time off work.
In Thursday’s episode, Tracy spotted a worrying lump on Frankie’s tummy and rushed her to the clinic – but ran into doctor Manpreet on the way.
Tracy was relieved to hear the lump was likely just a hernia.
But fans are concerned for the new mum, and took to Twitter in droves to write: "I think Tracy is struggling with motherhood, possibly post natal depression."
Another wondered: "Tracy always having a go at Nate, is she starting to get post natal depression?"
Someone else said: "Tracey seems like she’s starting to have a massive problem with Nate. Either this is heading in the direction of a post natal depression [storyline], or I’m wondering about an abuse [storyline] with Tracy as the abuser (I really hope I’m wrong though!)".
"What's the chances that [Tracy] ends up with post natal depression?" another asked.
And a fifth soap fan penned: "I think we have a case of post natal depression going on here?"
Later in the episode, Nate urged Tracy to stop touching Frankie's hernia, and said: "Massaging it's not going to help."
"I'm not massaging it!" Tracy insisted.
She yelled at Nate that he always thinks he knows best, prompting him to fire back: "What's that supposed to mean?"
"What do you think it means?" Tracy replied. "I'm doing everything round here, and all you're doing is having a go!"
Nate said he was worried about Frankie too, but Tracy wasn't having it, and shot back: "Try [worrying] when you've had no sleep!"
The couple's struggles began when Nate admitted he faints at the sight of blood – meaning he couldn't be with Tracy at the birth.

However, he battled through and was able to attend the labour.
Before that, Tracy was left to fret over their future when Nate took the blame for the hit and run that injured Jamie Tate, letting Belle Dingle off the hook.
It looked like Nate was in for a prison stay until he was finally handed a suspended sentence.
