Marvel’s newest Disney+ TV series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier has been a big hit. As the limited series comes to a close, many people wonder if the show will get another season.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan have been tight-lipped about the future of the show in recent interviews, but they have been sharing some hilarious stories about their experiences on set with the cast.

Both of them recall some of their funniest moments happening in the presence of Daniel Brühl, who plays Helmut Zemo on The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. According to both actors, Brühl was impossible to control on set, and he frequently engaged in some hilarious antics.

Sebastian Stan had a strange elevator encounter with Daniel Brühl while working on ‘The Falcon and the Winter Soldier’

Stan told the story behind a comical moment he shared with Brühl during a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“Daniel Brühl, I remember we were in Prague, and we were staying at this hotel and I was going to the elevator,” Stan said. “And I’m waiting for the elevator and it’s finally like, [imitates elevator sound]. And the doors part, and Daniel Brühl is sitting there in a robe and wet hair,” Stan said.

Becauses he’d just left the steam room, Brühl was shrouded in fog and looked rather strange. Stan knew then that Brühl was going to be a handful on set.

“And the actual mirrors of the elevator had been fogged up because he had just come out of the steam room. So he carried the whole thing with him and I just remember him looking up as [imitates elevator sound]. I saw like, half of his chest, and he’s just looking at me, going like, ‘Is this the fifth floor?’ And I was like, ‘Oh God, this is only gonna get more interesting now,’” Stan said.

Anthony Mackie says David Brühl was hard to control on set

Mackie agreed with Stan’s sentiment, noting that everyone’s biggest challenge was keeping Brühl under control.

“That’s the one thing,” Mackie said, laughing. “You say, ‘The thing we can control.’ Every day was controlling Brühl, that was it.”

He enjoyed a funny moment with Daniel Brühl and some foreign actors

To better make his point, Mackie then recalled a hilarious interaction with Brühl while they were at their hotel in Prague.

“So one day we’re sitting in the lobby … there were like 20 actors from some German TV show in Germany, something,” Mackie said. “So we come out, and Brühl is like, ‘Oh, hello!’ And he knows all of them.

After chatting it up with his foreign friends, Brühl came back over to Mackie seemingly feeling validated.

“So he goes, he’s speaking French, and Spanish, and German,” Mackie said. “And then he turns to me and he goes, ‘Mackina, I am a big deal!’”

Clearly, the two actors had the time of their lives working with Daniel Brühl.
