Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been accused of 'leaving out' the Duchess of Sussex's mother Doria Ragland.

Speaking on Tuesday's edition of Lorraine, US showbiz reporter Ross King updated viewers about Meghan's latest business venture – a children's book.

Teasing the segment, Ross, 59, said: "What about Grandmother Doria? I always feel like she has been a bit left out."

Ross' comments came just days after Harry and Meghan announced the birth of their second child – a baby girl.

The couple decided to name the new arrival after Harry's late mother Princess Diana and his grandmother Her Majesty The Queen.

A statement, posted on the couple's website Archewell said: "It is with great joy that Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, welcome their daughter, Lilibet 'Lili' Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, to the world.

"Lili was born on Friday, June 4 at 11:40 a.m. in the trusted care of the doctors and staff at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA."

Lilibet is the nickname given to Her Majesty by her father King George V when she was young when she was unable to pronounce her full name Elizabeth and thus said 'Lilibet'.

The name was only ever used by her father, mother, sister and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Philip.

When the Duke passed away aged 99, Her Majesty signed the card on his coffin 'Lilibet'.
