I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! returned with a new line-up of famous faces on Sunday ready to enter Gwrych Castle in Wales. However, viewers quickly became distracted by one contestant’s name – and it left them rather confused.

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here is back on ITV and fans had mixed opinions on the line-up this year.

Many have already slated the series for featuring unrecognisable stars and ‘scraping the barrel’.

One celebrity, in particular, has left viewers distracted due to his unique name.

The celebrity line-up entered this year’s competition separately as they were split into teams to take on challenges.

One by one four stars were driven along the Welsh coastline with former BBC Breakfast star Louise Minchin arriving first.

Naughty Boy, rapper and music producer, was close behind.

The musician, otherwise known as Shahid Khan, left viewers distracted as the rest of the celebs continued to refer to him by his stage name.

Discussing his name, Naughty Boy said: “My mum doesn’t like it when people call me Naughty Boy.

He continued: “She corrects them and says, ‘No, no, he’s a good boy’. Naughty Boy is the entertainer and Shah is who you see at home.”

Naughty Boy was up against BBC Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie Shy for the first challenge of the series.

The pair had to both walk to the end of a plank suspended high in the air

Naughty Boy’s plank dropped and he was left dangling in the air as Snoochie pressed her buzzer the quickest.

Fans were left amused by Naughty Boy as he had been left frozen on the spot in fear.

He referred to himself in the third person, leaving viewers confused, saying: “Naughty Boy is trying to man up.”

Fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on his name.

Tina penned: “Oh please tell me they’re not going to call him Naughty Boy throughout this. I understand it’s a stage name but it’s just cringe.”

User @Man_about_Toon said: “If someone introduced themselves as naughty boy I’d flat out refuse to call them it. Didn’t ask for your Gamertag mate what’s your adult name?”

Jessie tweeted: “The way they keep calling him naughty boy and not by his actual name is knocking me sick.”

While Lori added: “Just think, at some point, they’ve asked ‘do you wanna be called Naughty Boy the whole time or your real name’ and he’s gone ‘Naughty Boy please’.”

“Can they stop calling him ‘naughty boy’ and call him by his real name. Makes me cringe sm man,” Rosa asked.

B simply penned: “Can we call Naughty Boy his actual name, please? I don’t think my ears can deal with this much longer.”

I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! returns on Monday at 9pm on ITV.
