Kate Garraway was joined by Good Morning Britain co-host Richard Bacon on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain. The ITV presenter discussed receiving a sweet message from Kate Middleton after a recent meeting with the Duke of Duchess of Cambridge as she hosted a Christmas carol service.
Richard asked: “You mentioned that after you met William and Kate she sent you a note.”
“Yes she did,” the I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! star replied.
“Can I ask a technical question?” Richard said. “If a senior royal sends you a note, what form does it come?
“Does it come on horseback? Does it have a wax seal?”
Kate explained: “I was sitting at home with a cup of tea then suddenly there was a knock at the door and there was a fanfare.
“I opened the door and there were people with trumpets and a bit like in Cinderella there was a note.
“It was sealed, I opened it up and it one of the most extraordinary moments of my life.”
“No, it was really sweet,” Kate continued. “She thanked everybody involved for being involved because it means so much to her.
“I’m wondering if that was a secret that I got a note.”
“Not anymore,” Richard joked before Kate added: “Crikey I’ll be in the tower.”
