KATIE Price insists she STILL doesn’t know why Peter Andre ended their marriage and says ‘I did nothing wrong’.

The reality star was married to the Aussie singer for four years before calling it quits in 2009.

The pair fell in love in front of the nation after meeting when they were both contestants on I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here in 2004.

A fairy tale wedding was quickly followed by the birth of two children, Junior and Princess.

Chatting to Dame Esther Rantzen and Adrian Mills on their That's After Life podcast, Katie, 42, was asked to reflect on her past marriage.

Rantzen, 80, offered up her opinion on why she believed the pair split.

She commented: "You were making a reality show with Peter Andre and I think you and Pete actually split. Right, you want to know why I think that was?"

To which Katie replied: "Yeah, I'd love to know – I wanna know. I never did anything wrong."

Referring to their programme Katie & Peter, Esther said: "That reality show was quite damaging.

"It got into your relationship and it made you look so dominant and it made him look so gentle.

"And you know how it is with television – the viewers always like the underdog – and it began to look as if Pete was in love with you and trying to do what you wanted and nothing was quite right for you."

Katie responded: "I totally agree, especially towards the end.

"But the way I look at is, it happened, you can't change the past. But it's been a horrific journey since then.

"I'm still here, I didn't actually push the button to commit suicide, that's why I went to get help and I will never, ever let anyone or anything around me ever get me in that state again."

During Kate and Peter's relationship they appeared in nine series of their own reality show.

After splitting from Peter, Katie went on to marry Alex Reid, followed by Kieran Hayler, who she had two children with.

She is currently dating Carl Woods and is hoping to have another baby with him. Katie is also mum to 18-year-old Harvey.

Peter went on to marry Emily MacDonagh, with whom he shares two children.

In October, Katie revealed how she begged doctors not to let her kill herself after she checked into the rehab facility suffering from "severe trauma".

YOU’RE NOT ALONE

EVERY 90 minutes in the UK a life is lost to suicide.

It doesn't discriminate, touching the lives of people in every corner of society – from the homeless and unemployed to builders and doctors, reality stars and footballers.

It's the biggest killer of people under the age of 35, more deadly than cancer and car crashes.

And men are three times more likely to take their own life than women.

Yet it's rarely spoken of, a taboo that threatens to continue its deadly rampage unless we all stop and take notice, now.

That is why The Sun launched the You're Not Alone campaign.

The aim is that by sharing practical advice, raising awareness and breaking down the barriers people face when talking about their mental health, we can all do our bit to help save lives.

Let's all vow to ask for help when we need it, and listen out for others… You're Not Alone.

If you, or anyone you know, needs help dealing with mental health problems, the following organisations provide support:

  • CALM, www.thecalmzone.net, 0800 585 858
  • Heads Together, www.headstogether.org.uk
  • Mind, www.mind.org.uk, 0300 123 3393
  • Papyrus, www.papyrus-uk.org, 0800 068 41 41
  • Samaritans, www.samaritans.org, 116 123

But things are now looking up for the star, who last year broke both her feet in a freak accident.

Referring to her current boyfriend Carl, she told Esther: "I'm gonna get married again.

"I've had so many rehearsals and this is the real deal. And the fact that we met in lockdown, he's looked and nursed after me at my worst possible.

"He doesn't put up with any rubbish from me, puts me in my place and doesn't need me for nothing – he has his own thing going on."
