Van took to his Instagram Story on Monday to share a text post that read: "It's the small habits.
"How you spend your mornings. How you talk to yourself. What you read. What you watch.
"Who you share your energy with. Who has access to you. That will change your life."
Following years of friendship, Van and Kim were first linked romantically in February.
The CNN reporter was previously married to producer Jana Carte for 13 years before they divorced in June 2019.
The couple wed in 2005 and were together for more than a decade before Jana filed for separation in September 2018.
Van announced his pending divorce on Instagram, writing: "Divorce means the end of a marriage, not the end of a family. #FamilyForever."
In a statement to PEOPLE, the political commentator said: “Though we have decided to end our marriage, we still love each other very much."
The couple share two sons named Mattai and Cabral.
Meanwhile, Kim filed for divorce from Kanye West, 43, in February.
Fans have been encouraging Kim to date close friend Van since she officially called off her six year marriage to the rapper.
Kim and Van have known each other for years, while they worked together on criminal justice reform and helped to free Alice Johnson from jail in 2018 after she was jailed for life for a first-time drug offense.
Kim and Kanye share children North, seven, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, one.
The filing came after Kanye struggled with his bipolar disorder last summer, which saw him go on rants on Twitter and at his presidential rallies.
According to TMZ, the Yeezy creator filed for both joint legal and physical custody of their four children.
The former couple have decided to co-parent amicably, despite Kanye spending a majority of his time miles away on his Wyoming compound.
Kim and Kanye have also come to the agreement that they will split their $2billion fortune evenly, which The Sun exclusively reported after the divorce announcement was made.
Due to his music empire and clothing ventures, Kanye is technically the richer of the two, with a staggering $1.3billion fortune.
However, Forbes recently reported that the reality star has joined her soon-to-be ex on the billionaire list after raking in the "cash from reality television and endorsement deals, and a number of smaller investments."
