Married at First Sight: Channel 4 release trailer for new season

Married At First Sight Australia has been hotting up on E4 as the couples continue getting to grips with married life. Viewers were left horrified with Ines Bašić and Sam Ball’s behaviour in recent scenes as the pair secretly met up in a Gold Coast hotel room. However, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a few errors with the supposed cheating scene and shared their thoughts on the “fake” plot on Twitter.

Ines was partnered with Bronson Norrish while Sam was coupled up with Elizabeth Sobinoff.

But the cheating pair decided to secretly spend the night together after failing to hit it off with their respective partners.

Ines arrived at the hotel and was filmed knocking on hotel room 1904 however the next shot saw her and Sam standing outside room 1902.

Later, Ines was seen getting into bed wearing black knickers which matched her black bra.

But, the morning after when Ines rushed to get back to get own room, she was wearing white underwear.

Other viewers pointed out she had a toothbrush and makeup wipes already in Sam’s room despite arriving empty-handed.

One annoyed fan tweeted: “Ines knocks on the wrong door, but amazingly Sam still answers and lets her in the room.

“Come on producers, this is worse than her bringing a change of white underwear and a toothbrush to their ‘date’ last night.”

Another said: Ok @MAFSLifetime #mafsaustralia – ok I love a bit of trash tv BUT COME ON! Ines and Sam get down to it with cameras in the room! Next day when Bronson talks to her she actually used the word ‘snacks’ when describing her night and he said she is ‘glowing!’ #fake #scripted #setup.”

“How about Ines wearing black underwear but in the morning after she shagged Sam she had white underwear,” a third questioned.

Someone else pointed out: “Sam is a scumbag. But then again this whole show is staged. Ines having black underwear on the floor but wearing white… Give it up nine #MAFS.”

“Can they edit Ines and Sam out? Not into the fake cheating but not cheating story#MarriedatfirstsightAustralia,” a fifth asked.

“So the producers just keep happening to be in on all Ines and Sam’s secret rendezvous hmm #fake #mafs,” another remarked.

After the scenes aired in Australia in 2019, Sam took to Instagram to clarified whether the romance had been “faked”.

He wrote: “This is TV. It didn’t happen. If you notice Ines’ chase of apparel in the edit, night and morning. That will be a good reference point.”

UK viewers are desperate to know whether Ines and Sam’s supposed night of passion turned into anything more.

Channel Nine, who produce the controversial dating show, has not commented on the affair scene.

However, a representative for the network said: “Each participant embarked on a commitment ceremony with a wedding celebrant with all due intention to commit fully to this union for the duration of the experiment.

“At the end of the experiment, they are given the option to continue with the relationship or go their separate ways.”

Married At First Sight Australia continues tonight on E4 at 7.30pm.
