MONEY Heist are panicking that one of the Netflix show's main characters Rio will be killed off in season five.
Miguel Herrán, who plays the role of the young hacker, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a behind-the-scenes photo of himself on set.
The selfie shows the 24-year-old Spanish star wearing the infamous red attire of the Netflix show as he pulls a very serious face.
He captioned the picture: "Es mejor que morirse.. creo," which translates as: "It's better than dying .. I think."
Miguel's 14 million followers were quick to comment on the post, with one person writing: "If they kill you, I won’t watch the series."
A second person added: "My tears are not enough for the fifth season, please hope it's a happy ending," while a third simply asked: "Is this a spoiler?"
A fourth person commented: "No, you are not going to die! I’m still not over Nairobi’s death."
Money Heist, which is originally called La Casa de Papel, is currently filming its fifth and final series.
The upcoming season has been teased as the most dramatic one yet as it will be the final battle for the much-loved characters.
When it was announced, creator Alex Pina wrote: "We have spent almost a year thinking about how to destroy the band.
"How to put the Professor (played by Alvaro Morte) on the ropes. How to get into situations that are irreversible for many characters.
"The result is the fifth season of La Casa de Papel. The war reaches its most extreme and savage levels, but it is also the most epic and exciting season."
To coincide with the confirmation of season five, all of the cast members posted an image of the Salvador Dali mask lying on the ground.
