The Voice UK fans were left very frustrated as they spotted Olly Murs ' habit during the start of the show, as they noticed the judges were being very picky.

Several contestants came and performed for Anne Marie, Tom Jones, Will I Am and Olly, but the judges decided to not turn around for them.

But fans were left baffled as Olly started telling people that he wished he had turned for them, and he didn't know why he didn't.

One fan posted on social media: "I do wish @ollymurs would stop saying why didn’t I turn?"

Another added: "@ollymurs 'I really liked that version' but then doesn’t turn."

A third chipped in: "@AnneMarie and @ollymurs if you like the acts that are on then why are you not turning and stop relaying on Tom to turn."

A fourth said: "Everyone right now after the judges didn’t turn."

One of the contestants that viewers were most gutted about not getting through was the second performer of the show.

16-year-old Gwen said she hoped to be the next Ariana Grande and that she had been a viewer of The Voice for a number of years.

She performed When We Were Young by Adele and wowed people at home with her impressive vocal skills.

However, despite her range, none of the judges turned for her, and poor Gwen had to go home, admitting she was sad about the decision.

Viewers rushed to social media to comment on the controversial decision, as one wrote: "Wow that girl, I have tears in my eyes. Why did no one turn?"

Another added: "Why [on] earth did nobody turn for that wee lassie. She was absolutely brilliant. What a voice."

A third moaned: "I hate getting invested in these shows because you see some bang average singers getting through and then good ones not."

A fourth agreed: "Shocking that none of the judges turned."
