Our Yorkshire Farm viewers were left sobbing after they discovered that it was the last episode in the series.

The popular Channel 5 programme, which gives viewers insight into hill shepherds Amanda and Clive Owen along with their nine children, has been captivating the hearts of the nation for several weeks.

But before the show aired on Tuesday night, Channel 5 announced that it would be the last in the series.

Disappointed with the news viewers rushed to Twitter to share their upset.

One fan wrote: "Loving #OurYorkshireFarm, shame it's the last one for a while."

Another said: "Last episode, gutted is an understatement! The most amazing family. I’m actually gonna miss watching them."

A third viewer commented: "Is this the last ever one? Say it isn’t so!"

A fourth chimed: "#OurYorkshireFarm I do hope there's another series."

"Sad to see Our Yorkshire Farm series end. What a wonderful, genuine, kind, hard working family you all are. It’s rare to see a family so genuinely happy. You must be so proud," a fifth added.

Channel 5 have not yet confirmed whether there will be a sixth series of Our Yorkshire Farm.

In the last episode, viewers got to see the Owen's youngest daughter Nancy head off to school for the first time.

Despite having a fair few setbacks due to coronavirus sweeping through the family, Nancy finally got her chance to head to shcool.

Now that Amanda and Clive will no longer have their children constantly around them during the weekdays, the couple reflected on the best moments they've shared with their children.

Admitting it would be weird without, them Amanda said to Clive: "Not having them there on a day-to-day basis feels strange. But we'll be alright."
