PHILLIP Schofield has revealed the bizarre reason he'd never do I'm A Celebrity.

The TV star said he would "starve to death" for one very peculiar reason.

The 59-year-old presenter spoke on This Morning earlier after the full line-up for this year's series was announced, featuring the likes of Richard Madeley, Frankie Bridge and David Ginola.

He said: "Well, I've always said I'm A Celeb is the only one I would do.

"But I wouldn't do it… I don't think. But I couldn't do it because they eat out of those metal cans with metal spoons, and I've got goosebumps even thinking about it.

"But scraping the spoon on the tin can, I couldn't do it, I'd starve to death!"

Phil's co-host Holly Willoughby called in sick to This Morning today, an hour before the show – and was replaced by Josie who said her "witchy" friend predicted it.

The 40-year-old is suffering from a tummy bug and had to pull out of presenting duties at the eleventh hour.

And in a strange twist, competition host Josie Gibson was invited to step into her shoes.

Welcoming Josie onto the sofa for the first time, Phillip told viewers something "really weird" had happened last night.

Josie had been catching up with This Morning viewer Margaret who starred on the show after revealing how lonely she got in lockdown.

"I don't know if you'll remember Margaret," Josie told viewers.

"We went out and had a walk with her because she was ever so lonely.

"Ever since I aways check in on her and give her a ring to see how she is.

"Last night I phoned her. She's such a character, she's such a beautiful soul. I give her a call and she said 'Josie you know I'm quite spiritual, you're going to get a call and you're going to be presenting This Morning'.

"She said 'I'm a little bit witchy and I've got this sixth sense the you're going to present this morning.'

"I laughed like a drain. That was last night – and this morning I had the phonecall."

Stunned Phillip said: "What an unbelievable coincidence. That's second sight that's for sure."

Josie said it was a dream come true, telling Phil: "I cannot believe I'm sat here.

"It's so surreal, I've grown up watching you. What an honour. It's crazy."

Explaining to viewers about Holly's absence, Phil had said: "Holly is not here today because she's got a tummy bug. Nothing more than that. She'll probably be back tomorrow."

"I thought they'd got the wrong number," joked Josie.
