SHERIDAN Smith beamed as she showed off her new blonde hair after the star's shock split from fiancé Jamie Horn.

The actress looked happy as she focused on her work, filming scenes for new ITV drama No Return.

Sheridan, 40, wore a loose fit black and white shirt over black trousers as she completed the outfit with a tan handbag and matching sandals.

The mum-of-one was seen leaving The Printworks in Manchester and was also spotted running through a scene with co-star Rufus Hound at the Mackie Mayor indoor market.

Taking a break for her make-up artist to touch up her look, the Gavin and Stacey favourite enjoyed a laugh with her colleagues on the street.

The drama is penned by acclaimed writer Danny Brocklehurst (Brassic, The Stranger) and tells the story of an “unassuming family” on the holiday from hell.

Sheridan debuted her new look on social media earlier this month.

Sharing a selfie on Instagram, she wrote: "#backtoblonde by @carlbowes_ & @lesleybrennan5 🥰 new job begins🎬🥳."

Fans compared her to Britney Spears in the 90s and complimented her in the comments.

The week before The Sun exclusively revealed Sheridan and Jamie had gone their separate ways.

It came just over a year after the pair welcomed the birth of their first son Billy in May last year.

Cilla actress Sheridan met former insurance broker Jamie, 31, on the dating app Tinder in 2018 and they soon got engaged.

In a joint statement given to The Sun on Sunday, the couple said: “It is with great sadness that we have decided to have some time apart.

“We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy Billy together. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you.”

The pair appeared in a one-off ITV documentary last year called Sheridan Smith: Becoming Mum which followed her pregnancy.

Dog-lover Sheridan, who recently presented Pooch Perfect on BBC One, is now focusing on upcoming work projects.

The multi award-winning star is one of the UK’s best-loved actresses.

She has appeared in a host of memorable shows as diverse as Mrs Biggs, Gavin and Stacey, The Royle Family, Benidorm and Jonathan Creek.

She also stars in the new Railway Children film due out next year.
