Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) had yet another altercation with son Mick (Danny Dyer) in EastEnders tonight (October 19), and thus Gray Atkins (Toby-Alexander Smith) told her she could move in with him.

With Shirley having promised to support Gray following the events of last week, she shared a cuppa with him in the cafe.

However, Mick entered and wasted little time in berating him mum for becoming so friendly with the person who lashed out at Linda (Kellie Bright) during the previous week.

Tensions have been high between Mick and Shirley over the past couple of episodes, as Mick was once again struggling to come to terms with the fact that Shirley abandoned him when he was a child.

Shirley was due to spend some time with Ollie, but Mick made alternate arrangements, which left her rather hurt.

What’s more, he informed Gray that his mum was likely only being friendly because the Slater clan had kicked her out.

Shirley was incredibly emotional, but Gray offered her support — informing her that if she needs to, she can move in with him.

She seemingly took him up on such an offer, and set off to get her stuff.

Will Mick and Shirley be able to reconcile?
