Al Chapman’s (Michael Wildman) life is in danger in Emmerdale, after Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) vowed to kill him in the wake of his affair with Debbie (Charley Webb) been exposed.

Al realised the hard way that actions have consequences — especially when you double-cross a Dingle.

Yesterday’s edition of the ITV soap saw both Debbie and Priya Kotecha (Fiona Wade) confront the cheater, revealing that they’ve been in cahoots for weeks in an effort to take him down.

Al was shocked at such a thing, and he soon came to realise what Priya and Debbie were cooking up together when Kim Tate (Claire King) confronted him about the money he allegedly stole from Hawksford.

He pleaded with Kim to believe that Priya has set him up, but regardless of whether she believed him or not, the matriarch revealed that she wants her money back, and until he can cough it up, he’s out of a job.

The entire village turned against Al in the wake of his affair being exposed, including Ellis (Aaron Anthony), who made it clear that he wanted nothing more to do with his dad.

With nowhere to turn, Al found himself living out of — and sleeping in — his car, but he got quite the surprise when he returned to his vehicle to find Cain waiting for him.

The hard-man informed Al that he needs to finish up whatever business he’s got left in the village, and leave once and for all, promising that if he ever sees him again, he’ll kill him.

Will Cain follow through on his promise?

Emmerdale continues Wednesday January 27 at 7pm on ITV.
