Ever since Mick Carter (Danny Dyer) heard from Frankie Lewis (Rose Ayling-Ellis) that she is his daughter in EastEnders, he has been plunged back to his haunted childhood, where he was groomed and sexually abused by his careworker Katy (Simon Lahbib).
Mick was just 12 when the illegal relationship began and he only recently discovered that Katy had given birth to Frankie. He has been struggling with his emotions since and so when he comes face to face with Katy as she arrives in Walford, his emotions are understandably all over the place.
But will Katy admit to what she did to him in the past – and what will Mick do? Will he report the historical crime to police or will Katy manipulate the situation?
Mick immediately demands to know why she never told him that Frankie was his daughter but he is stunned at her response.
Later, Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) sees them talking and is excited to see Katy reminiscing about their time with her in the care home but they’re interrupted when Katy receives a message from Frankie – she wants to meet up but she wants Mick there too.
As Katy persuades Mick to go along with her, what will Frankie have to say? And will Katy find a way to try and talk her way out of her despicable actions in the past?
Whatever happens, the strain soon becomes even more heavy on Mick and he ends up leaving his family more worried about his state of mind than ever before.
With Katy’s presence now on his doorstep, will Mick be able to cope?
