Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse has revealed she has had to fly back to her home in Germany for an "urgent reason".

The star took to Twitter tonight to tell her fans that she will be self-isolating for 14 days after making her trip and will be watching from home.

It will mean that she will not be able to take part in filming of the show which is broadcast from Elstree Studios.

But Motsi hinted that she may be able to judge the show remotely from Germany, saying, "by the power of technology" she should be in viewer's "living rooms"

She wrote: "Hi guys – Earlier this week I needed to travel to Germany for an urgent reason. I will of course be following the UK Government guidelines and self-isolating for 14 days. I’ll be watching from home and by the power of technology, should be in your living rooms. Watch out though, I’ll be doing my own hair and make-up”

Fans took to Twitter to tell Motsi they were pleased she could still be appearing on the show.

One person wrote: "We understand and see you Saturday x."

Another fan wrote: ‘Great you’re still going to be apart of the show!"
