The Handmaid’s Tale is back. After a two-year delay, the first three episodes of season 4 will be available for streaming on April 28. But what’s the schedule for the rest of the season?

Where can I watch ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Season 4?

The Elisabeth Moss-led drama has been captivating fans since season 1. The end of last season found June Osborne with a potentially fatal gunshot wound and with 86 children successful smuggled into Canada. Still in Gilead but on the run, June and her fellow Handmaids are in ultimate survival mode looking for the rest of the Mayday network.

Mayday, as fans will recall, is a network of Marthas secretly plotting rebellious acts against Gilead. June and her friends are determined to find more members and continue the fight.

The Handmaid’s Tale is a Hulu original series. The first three episodes of season 4 will be available on Wednesday, April 28 on the streaming service.

What happens in Season 4 of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’?

In an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Moss said season 4 delivers on promises.

“I do feel like we have built something over the past three seasons that quite rightly needs to be kind of fulfilled and I think that we do that this season, with season 4,” she said. “We kind of fulfill a lot of the promises that we’ve made over the last three years.”

As she continued:

“We really get to see not just June, but a lot of these characters really go to places they’ve never gone before and change dramatically. And it’s a huge season, which, of course, we chose to shoot during a pandemic.”

One of those dramatic changes could possibly come from Nick Blaine, June’s lover played by Max Minghella. Nick was absent from the show after episode six last season. In the episode, June learned the shocking truth about his past: Nick played a voluntarily role in Gilead’s coup. Expect to see a lot of Nick this season.

Fans can also expect to see Gilead undergo global sanctions, more conflict between Fred and Serena Joy Waterford from their imprisonment in Canada, a vengeful Aunt Lydia, and the most action the show has seen in a while.
