Warning: spoilers ahead for season 2 of The Mandalorian.

The reported title of the next episode of TV series The Mandalorian hints at the highly-anticipated introduction of Ahsoka Tano, a beloved character among Star Wars fans.

In last week’s episode of Star Wars series The Mandalorian on Disney Plus, the name Ahsoka Tano was mentioned by Mandalorian warrior Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who told protagonist Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) to seek her out in his quest to reunite Baby Yoda with other members of his species.

Fans who were expecting Ahsoka Tano to appear in the latest episode of The Mandalorian, which was released on Friday, were left sorely disappointed when she was neither mentioned nor shown.

However, the supposed title of next week’s episode could mean that her arrival in the series is on the horizon.

It’s been reported that the title of Chapter 13 of The Mandalorian is ‘The Jedi’, which – in the eyes of many avid viewers – is an unmistakable indication that we could meet the live-action version of Ahsoka Tano very soon.

The character Ahsoka Tano, a former Jedi Padawan who trained under the supervision of Anakin Skywalker, appeared in the Star Wars animated TV series Star Wars: Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels.

She will be played in The Mandalorian by Daredevil star Rosario Dawson, who was cast in the role following calls by fans for her to take on the character.

In 2019, Rosario spoke at New York Comic Con about the interest fans had in her portraying a live-action version of Ahsoka Tano.

‘The fans have been pushing for Ahsoka Tano for a minute now, which would be so dope,’ she told Entertainment Tonight.

Several viewers of The Mandalorian expressed their excitement over the fan favourite’s potential debut next week.

‘Everyone and their Porg is hoping to see #AhsokaTano in the next episode of #TheMandalorian. Come on, we’ve been good. Give us what we want to see!’ one person tweeted.

‘The only thing on my mind for the next week will be Ahsoka Tano,’ another tweeted, while someone else added: ‘When I see Ahsoka Tano next week I will pass out.’

Season 1 and the first four episodes of season 2 of The Mandalorian are available to watch on Disney Plus.
