Llama blew the competition out of the park as they took to the stage of The Masked Singer’s sister show, The Masked Dancer, once more. The eclectic character performed a routine to the track Bad Guy by American music sensation, Billie Eilish, 19, and won over the panel with their moves. However, it was the clue package played before their performance that seemed to distract viewers of the ITV programme.

Prior to strutting their stuff on the dance floor, Llama was seen walking around a stately home whilst dropping a number of clues about their identity.

The quirky character said: “My first performance against Beetroot showed I was the best in the field. This wooly Llama is buzzing.

“But what about the panel, though? They sure had some wild guesses, if you ask me,” they continued before talking about the celebrity hiding inside the costume a little further.

“This lady Llama may look rather proper but if I was to retrace my path, then I would say there have been moments of life in the fast lane.

“Success came quickly for me. I was on-screen before I knew I wanted to be. I was suddenly sharing enclosures with strong-minded Best Friends Forever.”

“Some stand back whilst others follow the light but for me, no drama, Llama. We’re smart, so with pride, we get noticed,” Llama continued.

“I was splitting my time between late nights and early rises,” they continued before the quirky character was seen walking past an electric fan with the code word “AC-12” stapled to the front of it.

Fans of Line of Duty will know this is the Anti-Corruption team Kate Fleming works for, or as she is better known as the actress who plays her, Vicky McClure, 38.

What added to the fact it could be the cop-drama star taking part was when the quirky character played Two Truths and A Lie.

Llama is Vicky McClure

Llama told the panel they were “a northern drama queen” and Vicky was born in Nottingham, so could this be yet another clue she is taking part?

Taking to Twitter, viewers only added to this theory as one wrote: “#MaskedDancerUK Llama is Vicky McClure. No questions asked.”

A second posted: “I think Llama is @Vicky_McClure 100 percent,” whilst a third added: “With the AC-12 clue, surely Llama is Vicky McClure and she has that sense of humour.”

Vicky herself responded to the reaction as she shared on her official Twitter account: “Been an aLLAM’ingly hot day!”

The quirky character wasn’t the only contestant to perform during the third episode as the likes of Zip, Beetroot, Scarecrow, and Knickerbocker Glory took to the stage.

Although Llama made it through to the next stage of the competition, Beetroot wasn’t so lucky as they were eliminated by the panel.

It was revealed the celebrity hiding inside the costume based on the root vegetable was Burlesque royalty, Dita Von Teese, 48.

She became the third contestant to leave the show after Viper star Jordan Banjo, 28, was unmasked on Saturday night and Sunday saw Flamingo unmasked as model and singer Louise Redknapp, 46.

Asked why she wanted to take part, Dita said: “I thought it would be fun to do something unexpected and out of character for me.

“I’ve never done anything like this, and I’m not a competitive person, but I knew it would be hilarious. I also knew people wouldn’t expect me to be under the mask.”

Talking about the character she performed in, the Burlesque icon explained: “Beetroot was quite glamorous!

“I loved her leafy, flowy, hand-painted silk dress, and her beet-hued Swarovski covered dancing shoes,” she added.

The Masked Dancer airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV.
