Virgin River: Alexandra Breckenridge stars in season two teaser
Virgin River fans were left devastated by the ending of season two, which saw Jack Sheridan (played by Martin Henderson) shot and left for dead. The series ended before it could be revealed who was behind the attack but fans have their theories already.
Did Brady shoot Jack in Virgin River?
At the end of season two, Jack heads back to his bar to make Mel Monroe (Alexandra Breckenridge) some food.
Viewers see him on the phone when someone enters through the front door, which Jack thinks is Mel.
However, the next viewers see of the beloved character, he is lying in a pool of his own blood on the floor.
Mel finds him like this after he had been shot by a mystery assailant in the final moments of the episode.

Now the series is confirmed for season three, many will be wondering who was behind the dramatic shooting.
One suspect whom fans think might be responsible is Jack’s former colleague and war comrade Brady (Ben Hollingsworth).
Throughout the second season, Brady is going more off the rails than ever before, quitting Jack’s bar and falling in with local drug dealer Calvin (David Cubitt).
As well as this, right before Jack is shot, he receives a call from Mike (Marco Grazzini) telling him Brady is going to be arrested because of his digging.
He also has a key to the bar and knows his way around, which would mean it would be no problem for him to sneak in.
Some fans have been speculating this could be the huge twist going into the third outing of the show.
Posting on Reddit, user Simply_Solaria wrote: “I have a theory that Brady shot him.
“My guess is Brady used the spare key, and then when Jack came out they got in like a fistfight or something which knocked over the stuff.

“And then Jack got the gun but chickened out, and then Brady proceeded to steal the gun and shoot Jack.
“Why? Because Brady just started to trust Jack and help him, to find out he is being put in jail because of him.”
Fan Dovelash added: “I don’t know about Brady intentionally shooting Jack but maybe he went there to get a gun or something? And Jack wouldn’t let him take it?”
However, other viewers were not so sold on the idea and think the show is trying to redeem Brady instead.
User Fosh_and_chops wrote: “I think the Brady redemption story – bad boy to reformer – is more appealing for the writers.
“Having Jack shot by the drug farm boss or his boss sets the next series up for higher stakes, which doesn’t happen if it’s just Brady out for revenge before he’s arrested.”
At the moment, it seems like fans will just have to wait until season three is released to learn the truth.
Showrunner Sue Tenney has even teased it could be a mystery which lasts much longer than expected.
Speaking to TV Line she said in the next outing they will “go through trying to figure out who shot Jack but it could play out “over several seasons.”
Virgin River seasons 1-2 are available on Netflix now.
