Chilling video emerged showing the last moments of a British pensioner heading home in his scooter before he was shot four times in the back.

Retired engineer Neil Roger, 70, had been drinking with friends in Pattaya yesterday evening (January 5) while his long-term girlfriend Thitipan Kamlas, 38, was taking care of the house.

CCTV taken from a pub shows the pensioner, from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, driving past and a car followed closely behind.

Four loud gunshots were heard shortly after.

In a black and white surveillance camera clip, a car took over and stopped in front of the scooter.

A man emerged from a car and sparks can be seen when the sound of gunshots travelled.

Neil was pronounced dead after suffering severe blood loss after police and paramedics arrived,

Police reckon Neil was murdered due to a "love triangle or road rage" incident.

Initial reports stated Neil had been hit four times in the back with three 9mm bullet shells and one piece of shrapnel. He had two gunshot wounds on his back, one above his waist and one under his armpit.

He crashed onto the ground and was lying on his back next to his red Honda Scoopy when the police arrived. He had also been wearing a helmet, which was removed while medics checked his body.

No arrest has been made yet but officers are collecting evidence and investigating into the matter.

Thitipan, who had been with Neil for four years, told police she did not know whether Neil had any disputes with other ex-pats or locals.

Police Colonel Chakkrapan said: "We are questioning the dead man's partner and circumstantial witnesses while also checking surveillance cameras along the route, but we do not have the footage yet.

"The police did not reach a conclusion for motive yet but we have confirmed that the victim had just travelled back to Thailand from his Christmas holiday.

"We are investigating and have just had a meeting with some supervisors and will have some more meetings in the afternoon.

"We do not believe this was a random shooting. Pattaya is a safe place and this does not normally happen."
